TV-Lite new release 0.6.4

Long time since no article was written here. It the meantime we had a very troublesome 0.6.x chain of releases. Version 0.6.0, last autumn, packed some new, rather important features, but also a major rewrite of the database and channel list mechanism. This was insufficiently tested, and proved to be riddled with bugs. During the following two-three weeks we had to issue no less than three other minor releases, each trying to fix the problems found in the meantime . Version 0.6.3, however, proved to be stable enough to end this stream of, more or less, failed releases.

The current release, 0.6.4, fixes some minor, yet annoying glitches, found in the meantime. Most of them are related to channel list handling.

Also this is a maintenance release for the Windows users. We brought some modules (mingw32 and friends ) up to date.

Version 0.6.4

The sort buttons did nothing if used after searching for channels.
Program crashed when creating a new list
Local files whose names contained spaces or non Ascii characters could not be used as subscriptions (Linux).
Impossible to add a new channel in an empty local list (Windows).

Fixed the handling of local files. Loading local files as subscriptions, and saving subscriptions.

Fix: Modifying the name of a subscription triggers subscription update.
Fix: Modifying the address of a subscription will create a new subscription with the new address.

Fix: Interrupting a subscription update will cause the program to crash.

Version 0.6.0

Added proxy settings.
Improved display behavior - new overlayed controls bar in full screen, the image size does not change anymore
The video, audio and subtitles tracks available in the current stream are more accurately displayed.
Improved memory management and consumption - this rewrite caused all the bugs fixed in the next versions.
